This section of the E. coli Student Portal describes the various processes operating in the cell needed to perform routine cell growth. These include nutrient uptake, energy generation, cell biosynthesis, and cell maintenance reactions plus many more such as the processes involved in cell motility and chemotaxis.
The list of submenu items is growing as new modules are authored and beta tested on student volunteers. The current submenu Items include Aerobic Respiration, Anaerobic Respiration, Nutrient Acquisition and Fermentation.
